The new era of accelerated analytics

Cloud solutions

Microsoft Access software, installed on cloud Windows or NAS servers, enables location-independent work for multiple users. It's compatible with Microsoft Office and can be installed on various devices, including PCs and laptops. Hosting a Windows cloud with Office 365 allows you to work just as if you were on your personal PC. The connection is established via RDP, which is set up on your PC. The database is stored centrally on the server, and each user has their own login.

Accelerating data science

Database development, particularly with regard to improving data management, optimizing query performance, and integrating advanced analytics capabilities directly into database management systems (DBMS), is a central topic in information technology and analytical sciences. I will explain these aspects in more detail below: 1. **Improving data management**: Modern databases are no longer simple storage locations for data, but highly complex systems that must efficiently manage large amounts of structured and unstructured data. The development of technologies such as NoSQL databases, NewSQL, and cloud-based database solutions has contributed to faster and more flexible data handling. These technologies support a wide variety of data formats and are often more scalable than traditional relational database systems. 2. **Optimizing query performance**: The speed at which queries are executed is crucial to the performance of data-driven applications. By using techniques such as indexing, caching, and query optimization, databases can process queries more quickly. There are also advanced concepts such as in-memory databases, which store data directly in RAM to drastically reduce access times. 3. **Integration of analytics functions**: Traditionally, data for analytical purposes was extracted from databases and loaded into separate analytical tools (ETL process). Today, many modern DBMSs integrate analytics functions directly, known as in-database analytics. This makes it possible to perform complex data analysis and machine learning directly on the data without having to move it outside the database. Examples include SQL extensions for machine learning and statistical functions. 4. **Expanding data accessibility and interoperability**: The ability to integrate and make data from different sources accessible is critical for businesses. Databases that offer APIs for different programming languages or that can easily interact with other systems (such as Hadoop or Spark) make data science much easier. 5. **Automation and Self-Service BI**: Tools and platforms that enable data process automation and self-service business intelligence (BI) not only accelerate data science but also democratize access to data analytics. This enables even non-specialists such as business analysts and managers to make data-driven decisions. 6. **Security and Data Privacy**: As the volume and variety of data increases, security becomes increasingly important. Modern databases must implement robust security measures to protect data from unauthorized access and cyberattacks. At the same time, they must ensure compliance with data protection laws such as the GDPR. Overall, the acceleration of data science through the development of database technologies is a dynamic field that requires continuous innovation to meet the growing demands of data analytics. These developments enable companies to respond more quickly to market changes and gain a competitive advantage through data-driven insights.

Acceleration and security with Microsoft SQL Server. Microsoft SQL Server is a powerful database management system (DBMS) developed by Microsoft. It supports a wide range of data processing needs in enterprise environments, from small applications to large Internet applications with many users. Here are some key features and capabilities of Microsoft SQL Server: 1. **Data Management**: SQL Server provides robust data management capabilities, including database partitioning, data compression, and efficient management of large amounts of data. 2. **Performance**: SQL Server utilizes technologies such as in-memory processing (with its In-Memory OLTP feature), which can significantly improve performance for transaction processing. It also offers powerful indexing options and query optimization. 3. **Security**: SQL Server offers extensive security features such as Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), Row-Level Security, dynamic data masking, and robust authentication and authorization mechanisms. 4. **Business Intelligence**: SQL Server includes Integration Services, Reporting Services, and Analysis Services, which provide comprehensive tools for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data analysis, and reporting. 5. **High Availability and Disaster Recovery**: SQL Server supports multiple high-availability solutions such as Always On Availability Groups and Failover Cluster Instances to minimize downtime and optimize data recovery. 6. **Developer-Friendly**: SQL Server works well with various programming languages and frameworks and offers a variety of tools and APIs to help developers build and manage applications efficiently. 7. **Scalability**: SQL Server can scale both vertically (adding more CPU, RAM) and horizontally (adding more instances) to meet the growing demands of enterprise applications. 8. **Cloud Integration**: SQL Server is tightly integrated with Microsoft Azure, facilitating the migration of on-premises databases to the cloud and the use of cloud-based services such as Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance. Overall, Microsoft SQL Server is a robust and versatile choice for companies seeking a powerful DBMS to manage their data and support their business processes.

Versatility of application

Online databases in Office 365 and SharePoint, as well as with Power Apps on mobile, Power Automate, or Power Pages from the Microsoft Power Platform. With Power Apps, you can quickly create custom business applications that access your data, regardless of whether it is stored on the underlying data platform (Microsoft Dataverse) or in numerous other online and local data sources such as SharePoint, Access Database, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, SQL Server, etc. For example, you might want to access a database located in the cloud containing your address data on the go via your mobile device. The Power BI app provided by Microsoft enables comprehensive analyses, evaluations, and graphical representations of your data.

Comprehensive customer service

We guarantee the professional handling of your Microsoft Access projects and set high quality standards both in service and in technical expertise and consulting. Our expertise supports you in your daily business operations, helping you optimize your business processes through new developments. We also offer development and support for your existing Access databases. For minor issues, our fast and straightforward remote support is available. We also perform data migrations from other systems or files and offer Access training both on-site and remotely.

Microsoft Access is a widely used database application that is part of the Microsoft Office suite. It allows users to create and manage databases for a variety of purposes, from simple data collection to more complex applications. In summary, Microsoft Access can be a practical and powerful solution for many scenarios, especially in the context of medium-sized applications and projects. Up to 20 users enter/modify data in our customer databases daily without any performance limitations.

However, for larger, mission-critical systems with more than 30 users and large data volumes, the use of more powerful and scalable database management systems is recommended. In this context, Microsoft Access can be very effectively integrated with Microsoft SQL Server databases, providing improved performance.
